About Nicole Wheatly
Motivated, Inspiring, and Innovative are three words that define Nicole Wheatly, the author of best sellers "Dare to Walk In My Shoes – Confessions of a Sole Queen", and "Dare to Walk In The Shoes Designed for You". Nicole also hosts monthly seminars and events catered to the growth and development of women, a passion she has harbored for the past fifteen years.
Nicole has appeared on NBC, ABC, CLTV, WFLD, FOX, The Steve Harvey Show, Jet and Ebony Magazine, Footwear News Publication and other media outlets. She is known throughout the Midwest region as the Shoe Professa or "the Shoe Lady". Women admire her enthusiasm and ability to assist them with surfacing their shoe craze, while building their self-esteem from a simple, affordable and unique shoe design.
Nicole, a graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, has also earned the Urban Public Policy Certificate of Graduate Studies at the University of Illinois. She has completed her Master of Arts degree in Applied Professional Studies at DePaul University and focused on "Urban Studies." Nicole graduated June 2008 with Honors.
In addition, she has received many awards and accolades for community contributions to Breast Cancer Awareness, Weight, Health and Nutrition Programs, Women finding Internal Peace, Financial Freedom, Prosperity Focus and many other special programs that have helped hundreds of women reach for and obtain a better quality of life. All the odds were against this young, African American female who grew up on the south side of Chicago with nothing more than integrity and the drive to succeed. Though surrounded by poverty and despair, she refused to settle for less. Armed with the belief that everyone has a preordained purpose, she stepped out on faith to become an "Ordinary Woman, Doing Extraordinary Things."
